Introduction to Black Thrive

Black Thrive, led by their Employment Working Group, will distribute £300,000 of grant funding over two years to improve employment outcomes for Black people with long-term health conditions (LTCs) in Lambeth. Grants were available for between £1,000 and £50,000 to deliver projects for up to 18 months.

How We Helped (The Ssolution)

Black Thrive wanted the website to be a one page site with the menu at the top scrolling to the relevant section using anchor points. (An anchor link is a web link that allows users to leapfrog to a specific point on a website page. It saves them the need to scroll and skim read – and makes navigation easier.) Once all the information for the site was sent over we quickly realised there was way too much information for one page and could confuse the user. We focused on bringing seamless experience to the users, regardless which device they are using, because the user engagement matters a lot for conversions and ROI.

The website is responsive as we are aware majority of their users will be own using mobiles or tablets.

We had to scale down the information provided, so the user wasn’t bombarded with loads of text. We added eye-catching headers, and images.

We also provide graphical services designing flyers and social media posts to promote their campaign.

The Result

The website we designed not only helped, the charity received great feedback and high volume of traffic. Their first round of applications was a success.
